City of Dublin FET College Learners Shortlisted In Creative Writing Competition

City of Dublin FET College Ballymun Road, is delighted to celebrate the achievements of two learners from our Adult Education Service, both of whom were shortlisted in this year’s DCU Creative Writing Competition.

DH was recognised for the poem Now I’ve Grown, while AN was shortlisted for My Auld Pal. On the night, both learners impressed a large and appreciative audience with readings of their work.

We are especially proud to congratulate DH, who was named the overall winner of the 2026 competition, a remarkable achievement.

This success has brought a great sense of pride across the entire centre, and we are already looking forward to next year’s competition.

We extend our sincere thanks to DCU for hosting such an inspiring event. We would also like to acknowledge our dedicated team of adult educators in City of Dublin FET College Ballymun, whose ongoing encouragement and support continue to empower and champion our literacy learners every day.
