Launch of the City of Dublin FET College  

City of Dublin ETB (Education and Training Board) is proud to announce the launch of its new City of Dublin FET College.  

The City of Dublin FET College has over 30,000 learners with 12,000 full time and 18,000 part time students. The College will operate over four integrated campuses strategically  located all over the city. All courses are provided in ten specialist faculties. The City of Dublin FET College brand also involves the renaming of all existing FET centres to reflect their alignment within the new structure. 

This development marks a significant milestone in the evolution of FET in Dublin, reinforcing a coherent, learner-centred approach that supports ease of access, progression, flexibility, and quality across the entire learner journey. 

City of Dublin FET College Campuses 

City of Dublin FET College now operates across four strategic campuses in the city, delivering a comprehensive range of programmes including Post-Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, Youthreach, and other further education and training upskilling opportunities for both young people and adults. 

All City of Dublin FET College provision is now delivered through the following campuses: 

  • City of Dublin FET College Northwest Campus 
  • City of Dublin FET College Northeast Campus 
  • City of Dublin FET College Southwest Campus 
  • City of Dublin FET College Central Campus 
     

In tandem with this change, all existing FET centres have been renamed to reflect their new campus alignment.

A New Ten Faculty Structure 

The move to a faculty-based model will provide clearer pathways for learners, greater alignment with enterprise needs, and more consistent access to high-quality provision. The ten faculties are as follows: 

  • Arts, Humanities & Creative Media 
  • Business, Administration and Law 
  • Education, Adult & Community 
  • Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction 
  • Health and Welfare 
  • Computing, Digital & Data 
  • Natural Sciences 
  • Agriculture 
  • Tourism, Hospitality & Services 
  • Social Sciences, Journalism and Information 

This structure strengthens academic and quality assurance processes while enhancing our capacity to offer relevant, future-focused programmes that respond to the skills needs of Dublin’s economy and society.

The launch of City of Dublin FET College reflects our continued commitment to inclusive, accessible education and training that empowers learners to achieve their potential with lifelong learning. Through the City of Dublin FET College, we aim to deepen our engagement with local communities and enhance collaboration with employers, enterprise and stakeholders to provide clear, career-focused progression routes.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Christy Duffy, Chief Executive of City of Dublin ETB, stated:
