St. Michael’s House Special National School, Ballymun is a school for pupils with a Moderate or Severe General Learning Disability between the ages of four to eighteen years. Many of the pupils have complex needs including Autism.  The teacher employed in this post would work with a team of very experienced and supportive staff.

To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following:

• Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 1 (Primary) or Route 2 (Post Primary).
• An additional qualification of working in Special Education is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience and having a real interest and dedication to working with students with Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential is extremely important and highly desirable.

Appointments will be subject to:

• Vetting requirements
• Occupational Health Screening.
• Evidence of current Teaching Council Registration
