Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Post Primary Mainstream Class Teacher in Solas Hospital School under a Fixed Term Contract of Employment.

Solas Hospital School is co-located with Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin. As a hospital school we deliver education across various hospital settings, including both 1:1 sessions at the bedside and small multi-level groups in classroom settings. We provide an education service to children aged 4 to 18 yrs and across the full spectrum of educational needs. While the post is a Post Primary teacher, the role aligns with Primary conditions and the Primary School calendar.

To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following:

  • Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under Route 2 (Post Primary) for one of the following subject areas: Science or Biology or Maths
  • Experience teaching in a medical setting with students with medical needs is desirable.
  • Experience facilitating learning across a broad range of subjects is desirable.
  • Experience supporting students in alternative or special education settings is beneficial.
